Steri-Strip™ First Aid Skin Closures Contraindications: • Do not use where good adhesion cannot be obtained due to the presence of wound fluid, skin oils, moisture, or hair. • Do not use on puncture, dirty, or infected wounds. Consult your health care provider if you notice any of these signs of infection: fever, pain, swelling, itching, rash or burning. • Do not use in high tension wounds which cannot be easily held together with fingers. • Do not use as a securement device, such as for holding tubing in place. Warnings: To reduce the risk of infection, do not reuse strips. Precaution: • As with all adhesive products applied to the skin, a small percentage of individuals may experience skin irritation, discoloration, or injury during wear or upon removal. • Tension caused by post-operative swelling, body/joint movement or applying skin closures under tension may cause skin injury, including blistering or loss of adhesion. • Use with additional adhesive products may cause blisters or skin injury. • If the wound is deep and bleeding continuously, seek medical assistance immediately. • This product is not designed, sold or intended for use except as indicated.
